AQSIQ Announced New List Of Registered Baby Formula Manufacturersand Related Importers and Products
On Jun 24,2014, AQSIQ announced ¡°importers of imported baby formula and related product information ¡±again. The updated list includes 130 imported baby formula brands. Well-known brands like Friso, Wyeth, Abbott, Synutra Yubo, newbaybay are in the list.
The list covers Lovely Bay imported by Shanghai HuaHan International Logistics Co.,Ltd, EngNice imported by Shanghai SanKai Import & Export Co. Ltd, DutchCow and Synutra Yubo imported by XinHongji Fujian Investment Co., Ltd, Abbott imported by Abbott Trading Shanghai Co.,Ltd, Frisolac and Friso imported by Friesland Food Trade Shanghai Co.,Ltd, Wyeth imported by Wyeth Shanghai Trading Co., Ltd, Bimbosan imported by Jiangxi Meilu Dairy Group Co., Ltd, Frisfarm imported by Kunshan AiLuo International Trading Co., Ltd.
It is reported that this announcement is about information of the products produced by the overseas infant and baby milk powder manufacturers that has passed registration at AQSIQ and importer information. Regarding the milk powder that was imported before the implementation of overseas dairy manufacturer registration, yet the related manufacturers have net yet obtained registration at AQSIQ, the information of the related manufacturers, importers, and production is not included in the list. AQSIQ will update the information of new-registered manufacturers, and the related importers and products at any time.
Previously, AQSIQ regulated that from April 1, 2014, the Chinese label of imported infant and baby formula shall not be pasted in China. Instead, it should be directly pasted to the smallest selling package before entry. From May 1. 2014, infant and baby formula produced by overseas manufacturers that have not yet registered is not allowed to import. Meanwhile, it is prohibited to import big package infant and baby formula and then subpack in China. The imported infant and baby formula shall be canned in the smallest selling package.
